Game Rules
Odd One Out is a game where players try to find the one person who gets a different question.
Goal
The aim is to figure out who the liar is by comparing answers and talking about them.
Starting the Game
One player creates the game and becomes the host. They get a code to share with others.
Other players join using that code. When everyone is ready, the host starts the game.
Game Versions
The host picks one of three modes:
All Prompts: a mix of regular and adult questions.
Safe for Work: only simple, family-friendly questions.
Not Safe for Work: questions with adult themes.
Choosing Questions
The host looks at pairs of questions: one for most players, one for the liar. They pick which pair to use.
Other players wait while the host chooses.
Getting Your Question
All players get the same question except one person—the liar—who gets a slightly different one.
Players don’t know who has the different question.
Answering
Players write their answers in secret. Then all answers show up at the same time.
Talking
Players take turns explaining their answers. The liar tries to hide the difference.
Voting
Everyone votes for who they think the liar is. Votes are shown at the same time.
Finding Out
The liar is revealed. If the group guessed right, they win. If not, the liar wins.
Next Round
Play another round with a new question. The liar role moves to a new player each round.
Winning the Game
The goal is to have fun, talk, and laugh—not just to win.
Play fair. Bluff well. Enjoy the game.
